    charming vintage atmosphere

The hotel features high ceiling rooms with unique decor that adds a charming vintage atmosphere, making our stay feel special.

On our last day, we were abruptly awakened by drilling and hammering outside our window at 9 am, an unwelcome surprise.

    comfortable bed

It was just a strong match for a break on a long journey in Florence with great value-to-price ratio. The bed was surprisingly comfortable for such a budget hotel. Consider asking for a quieter room away from the street noise.

Comfortable bed in the double room, plus climate control, an individual safe, and a work desk. Gorgeous and excellent breakfast with various breads and cheese and ideal location.

The atmosphere created was quiet. The restaurant was really nice and the food was fabulous. The location was excellent and nice, walk from a train station. Easily reached Trattoria Mario, located relatively near the hotel, had lunch/dinner there. I had a very very good stay.

    smelly room
    outdated hotel

I had the misfortune of getting a room that smelled like a dungeon, not exactly the dreamy escape i imagined. The hotel felt outdated, and honestly, i woudl ve been grateful for a complimentary gesture after the 'good' experience of a smelly room. Couldn't believe the staff didn't offer better wifi, either. Shocked, really.

Florence vibes and tea time ☕️

Room was cozy and had this lovely antique feel, reminded me of a proper escape. Staff were super friendly and had a nice chat over brekkie. Got to chill in the garden area after a day of exploring, just lekker!

Street noise in the morning was a bit much, but didn't wreck my stay.

Very good coffee and breakfast. Most of the staff very friendly and spoke very good English. Very quiet, even though our room was right at the entrance.

Our room was a little dark because it was on the ground floor.

Good location is close to the station and center, convenient to walk to all major attractions. You can leave your things at the reception and go for a walk before settling in or leaving.

At once it seemed strange that it was asked to pay for accommodation and city tax on arrival, although it is customary to pay everywhere on departure. It took a very long time to get passports... The room is ascetic: it is large in area, but the furniture is not enough, it is inconveniently located... Additional things (blankets, pillows) were sloppyly piled in the closet on the safe... There were stains on the towels. They were washed, but not white... The wi-fi in the room catches badly, works with breaks... Bad noise insulation - you can hear all the sounds from the street and the neighboring rooms... It's all kind of trivial, but when you get so many, it makes you feel bad.

The noise from outside traffic was unbearable!!! The WiFi connectivity was poor. The bathroom space lacked even basic amenities like enough shelving. A cleaner barged into my room without knocking, completely unacceptable!!!

Very clean room (quite romantic) with a good bathroom and shower. Staff very helpful and speak good English About a 15 min walk from the Duomo. Breakfast mediocre - so go and grab a coffee and a cake in one of the numerous piazza's

We were attending a conference at the nearby Fortezza da Basso, so the Hotel Cimabue was in very close proximity to the venue. All female reception staff were very pleasant however we encountered one male receptionist who I found to be quite abrupt and rude. We had a large two bedroomed room which was very spacious and clean and was in a quiet part of the hotel so we did not hear much from other guests.

The breakfast selection was not very varied. The hotel is a good 10min walk to the centre of Florence (Duomo), so there are no doubt similar hotels that are a little closer

Sorrybto say we had a very disappointing stay! The room we booked was a Quad... Advertized as one large ( king) bed and two twins. They even had a picture with description. When we arrived, the room had only a very small double and a queen bed. We were a group of 4 men, all around 6 ft tall, and it was impossible to be comfortable in such a sleeping arrangement! The hotel promised the Booked.net customer service to bring a roll away. They lied...it never happened on night # 1 or night #2 . Five phone calls from bookings.com I think were made in our behalf and to no avail. One of us slept on the floor! For the third night we came in and found they had removed the larger bed and put in 2 twins. Are they crazy? We still had the same problem.. 2 men were not sleeping in the small double together. On the floor again. Only $5 /night offered as compensation.
